LEO Learning is delighted to announce that its parent company Learning Technologies Group plc (LTG) is acquiring Rustici Software.
Rustici Software is the global leaders in elearning standards. They are the acknowledged leaders in the SCORM marketplace and co-creator of the xAPI standard (also known as Tin Can API or Experience API). Rustici Software has been assisting clients in using e-learning standards to connect systems since 2002.
The acquisition of Rustici Software brings a new dimension of technical insight to LEO Learning’s transformational, blended approach and allows LTG to tie together best-of-breed learning solutions to solve the challenges of modern businesses.
Dale Solomon, CEO of LEO Learning, commented:
“The acquisition of Rustici Software brings a level of technical interoperability that has until now been missing from our service offering. With access to the brilliant minds at Rustici Software , our clients will be on the forefront of xAPI technology, learning data analytics and results measurement. It’s another step closer to achieving our vision of moving learning to the heart of business strategy.”
LTG has also bought a 30% stake in Watershed LRS, the leading xAPI learning analytics platform. With xAPI on the cusp of widespread adoption, this investment presents new opportunities for LEO Learning’s clients to understand exactly how training impacts performance through effective learning measurement.
As part of the LTG portfolio and alongside LEO Learning, Rustici Software joins Governance, Risk and Compliance experts LEO GRC, the multi-device gomo learning suite and Games with Purpose pioneers Preloaded.
