Meet the Team: Elaine Jackson

As part of our ‘Meet the team’ series, we’re chatting to key members of the LEO family each month, so you can get to know them better. Today we’re speaking to Elaine Jackson, Account Director in the New York office.

What does your role as Account Director entail?

I am responsible for the identification and scoping, smooth running and delivery of custom training programs, generic catalog solutions, instructor-led training, and LMS agreements for LEO GRC’s clients in North America. I work with my LEO and Learning Technologies Group colleagues to identify the best solution to meet our client’s needs and make sure everyone is set up for success.

On most days, I’m typically in and out of meetings, catching up with the team’s activity in New York and London, and meeting with my clients to discuss our progress. My focus is on client satisfaction and delivery of a quality product—but no two days are ever the same. I am lucky enough to travel with my role too, so I get to see different places in America and Canada.

Which part of working at LEO do you love most?

Working with and for some of the most talented people I have ever met. The people really do make the place and LEO has got that completely right. My clients are also a huge deal for me. Everyone I work with is wonderfully talented, kind, and passionate about making a difference. I am inspired every day.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

In education, that would be my graduation from the BRIT School. Studying dance in such a special environment with so many talented people (Amy Winehouse was a year above me!) was an experience I am very grateful for. And in my career, moving to New York with LEO (and surviving my first year).

What is the biggest challenge you’ve overcome?

The UK to US immigration process was quite an experience but, in all seriousness, I have to say living away from my family and friends.

What are the three things you can’t work without?

The team, my to-do list, and Yorkshire Tea.

What subject could you give a 30-minute presentation about with no advance preparation?

Being a huge foodie, I would have to say the New York restaurant scene. The options and experiences are endless and I have made it my mission whilst living in New York to visit as many as I possibly can. I would also dedicate a section to the vegan scene which is quite incredible. I had a great time during New York restaurant week.
